With the advent of improved technologies, the compounding of Paediatrics doses is proving to be difficult as drugs are no longer designed in conventional ways.  This was disclosed by Pharm. Saminu Falalu, Chief Pharmacist, with the Drug Manufacturing Unit of the Hospital during a Clinical Presentation.

Pharm. Saminu further explained that there are some essential components in drugs that may be tendered while using the conventional method.

He further called for continued collaboration and effective communication between the Health Care Professionals.

He stressed the need for the Hospital community to understand the challenges of compounding Pediatrics drugs saying that, they are giving the same dosage the Physician prescribed but in a different way.

Pharm. Falalu added that, Health Professional should expect more of this new technologies and advanced challenges.

Patients and Hospital Management for a better therapeutic outcome which would always be guaranteed for the patients.
