Department of Laundry and Linen Services, Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital and National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) held a five-day Workshop to develop a Curriculum for the award of National Diploma in Laundry and Dry Cleaning Services in the Hospital.
Speaking during the opening ceremony of the workshop, the Chief Medical Director, Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital, Professor Aminu Zakari Mohammed said over the years, the Hospital is issuing a Certificate Programme in Laundry and Dry Cleaning Technology but with this effort AKTH will be awarding Diploma Certificate after the curriculum is approved.
Professor A. Z. Mohammed thanked NBTE for the opportunity given the Hospital to host the workshop and hoped that, a standard curriculum for Diploma, Higher Diploma and Degree programs will developed.

The Head of Department, Laundry and Linen Services AKTH, Mal. Muhammad Kabir Ahmed, appreciates UNESCO for sponsorship of the curriculum development, the experts from Universities of Lagos, Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Bauchi, ABU Zaria and other Institutions who gathered to form the curriculum.
