A non-governmental Organization, Future Assured Foundation has donated hospital consumables and drugs to Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital on Wednesday.
The donation was made by the team leader Alh UbaHadi( Special Assistant to the President) in the office of the wife of the President.
Alh Hadi said the drugs donated to the hospital will be distributed free to patients with a prescription from doctors only.
He then called on individuals and organisation to assist people and hospitals in this pandemic period.
The items donated included 40 cartons of drips( normal saline and dextrose),184 cartons of Antimalarial,63 packets of Antidiabetic,8 carton of Antibiotics,69 packets of Anti hypertension, 4 cartons of Anti worms. 5 carton of paracetamol, 10 cartons of sanitizers (small and big) and 5 cartons of hand gloves among others.
Responding, the Chief Medical Director Prof Abdurrahman Abba Sheshe promised to use the items judicially to patients with a prescription from the hospital doctors only.
He then directed the Deputy Director Pharmacy, Pharm Furera Ado to distribute the items to General Out Patient Department (GOPD), Accident and Emergency (A&E) and Emergency Paediatric Unit (EPU) for immediate utilisation by the patient.
