Staff of Department of Internal Medicine of the Hospital has offer career counseling to student of Nigeria Tulip International College, Kano during an excursion visits to the Hospital.
Dr, Zira Ghyi Vandi, Senior Registrar Cardiologist advised the students to develop interest if they want to be Medical Doctors as interest and passion is the engine room that drives the profession.
He then implores parents not to force their children/wards to read Medicine while their dream, interest and capabilities are in other profession.
In their separate remarks, the Head of Internal Medicine Department, Prof. Adamu Alhaji Samaila and the Ward Manager, Malam Sale Iliyasu Dan-Hassan, Chief Nursing Officer urged the students to be serious with their studies as medical profession is service to humanity not money making ventures.
They said, there are many fields they can read apart from Medicine and Surgery such as Nursing Science, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Medical Library Science, Radiographers, among other.
Other place visited by the students includes Dialysis Unit, Female Surgical, Accident and Emergency among others where the Charity Club distributed snacks to patients on admission.
